1 Salvation Plan of God - Who God is
Long before people existed God already had a good plan that run from Adam & Eve to me today - how is this possible? God is eternal and God's plans are eternal and for one moment in eternity God created Time and Place - He created earth and sequence. But this Earth and Universe in their present form have all been created under natural laws and these laws brings decay and aging and consequences. This happened when Adam and Eve sinned - death came on all things - the clock started clicking. The earth clock started and for every person that would ever live time came into motion. In this consequence of sin every person on earth is born.
But only because God gave us time do we have the opportunity to be restored into relationship with God as it was before Adam and Eve sinned and even a better relationship for we became children of God which Adam and Eve never had the opportunity to do.
What are the consequences of sin that we are born into? Death - death physically and death spiritually. From the moment man is born he is dying - dying in this world but with the opportunity to become regenerated by God every day by being made new with glorious eternal life.
People sometimes think that it is because of Adam and Eve's sin that we sin. But we all have choices for if we can stop a specific sin today and never do sin again, itl proofs that we could have made the choice before we even started on that specific path of sin.
The problem is that mankind continuous to make the same mistakes over and ove and the Word condemns all as guilty in saying that all have sinned and we come short of the glory of God. We all fell into that pit of sin - all by our own choice.
The subsequent and eternal consequence of sin is judgment and eternal punishment as God's kingdom is based on sure foundations and principles of rule. Sin's punishment is eternal. This punishment is designated for a placed called Hell and Outer Darkness- hell is a place very much like a prison - it is a place of eternal separation and punishment.
But God placed us in "TIME" and time says "WAIT! GRACE!" and without it we would have experienced sin's consequences instantly - we would have fouind ourselves in hell instantly. But all of us have been given grace and time and because of this we have time to put our lives in order. We have time to change. The problem is when man cannot use time and grace to change - there is nothing else man can do to change his destinay or to bargain for his soul. Throughout the ages men did not make use of this opportunity and could not for they were bound in and by their sin.
This is where God stepped in through His Great and Wonderful love to make a way for us to come back into beautiful fellowship with Him. God's plan of Salvation was so awesome and what He did was so severe that is changed the whole dreadful future of mankind into a glorious and magnificent Eternity.
The working out of God's whole plan hinged on the love sacrifice of the very Son of God to sweep all debt out of the judgments books of heaven so that God's Grace can activated as help in our lives by our accepting this by faith.
Wow. Glorious, glorious is the plan of God that sent us a Saviour who met us in our very weakness and lifted us out. He came to give us hope and to establish us in a new way of living with a new nature. By breaking the bonds of sin and creating in us a heart that seeks after God we have received the ability to overcome sin.
He also changed our eternal destiny from hell and punishment for sin to being forgiven, regenerated and able to live forever with Him in glorious heaven.
